X-Men 2000

This review contains spoilers.

The very first X-Men movie ever, X-Men does a decent job of world building and having a large cast of characters without any of them feeling static or shoed in. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ian McKellen as Magneto are easily the best parts of the film. The only critiques of the movie I have are its choreography for fighting, which isnt the best and ties into my second point, which is that this movie hasn't aged the best, mainly with there fight choreography but also with the story, which can be slightly ridiculous along with the movie not having a strong central character to gather around. Still though an enjoyable movie that helped kickstart the X-Men franchise and put Hugh Jackman in his most iconic role

Spider-Man: Brand New Day 2026

This review contains spoilers.

Overall a good movie in the start of the brand new Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy. Only critiques of the movie is that its more or less a formulaic marvel movie, and the lesson they learn at the end is friendship. Also I didn't necessarily like the lack of Spider-Man mythos/characters with most of it being substituted for showing other Marvel characters and introducing new ones and concepts. Still though they did good with what they had such as Jean Grey being a great villain.

Rocky Balboa 2006

This review contains spoilers.

The 6th and final installment of the Rocky franchise (and probably the influence for Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul), Rocky Balboa keeps things simple and doesn't try to be big or flashy like Rocky 5. It realizes that Rocky at its core has always been about fighting and delivers that along with insights on old characters and Rockys simple life he has chosen. Overall a great way to end a franchise, and while it may seem a bit quieter compared to the franchise, I think that’s exactly how an aging Rockys story should end

Rocky V 1990

This review contains spoilers.

5th Installment of the Rocky franchise. Rocky 5 is extremely inconsistent in its themes of violence and self-worth, along with its family values (and Rockys son being 5 years older than he should be) and just creating problems out of thin air. Rocky 5 wastes its best new character Tommy Gun for Rocky's son, when in reality he literally could have had both instead of choosing one over the other. And for a boxing franchise that end scene was just the worst. Only good thing about the movie was the Tommy Gun montage. It's a good thing that this didn't end up being the last Rocky movie because that would've sucked. Overall, a disappointing entry with terrible execution of an injured Rocky storyline and a complete waste of the brightest character the franchise had in a while.

The Odyssey 2026

This review contains spoilers.

Christopher Nolans take on Homers epic The Odyssey, and as a whole it was done phenomenal. Everyone did a good job and the modern development of Odysseus was great and made him a lot better. All the action scenes were cool and the pacing was good too. The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was just the changing of the cyclops scene but in the grand scheme of the movie its small. Overall amazing movie and another banger from Nolan

Rocky IV 1985

This review contains spoilers.

The fourth installment of the Rocky franchise. Honestly I don't really know where to go in this review because, to be honest, there isn't a whole lot of substance in this movie compared to the others. Sure it was fun and all seeing Rocky and Drago fight along with three whole montages (definitely a record), but the downsizing and watering down that had to take place to earn that fun wasn't all that worth it. Rocky, who has learned to overcome the distance, be human, care for his family and friends and most importantly in Rocky 3, learned to get his hunger, will, and drive back , is reduced to an unstoppable American warrior. Not to say that the politics in the movie was terrible, no I didnt really have too much of a problem with it, it just made Rockys character into a spectacle to counter Drago, who at the end of the day is just gonna go down as "The Biggest/Hardest Fighter Rocky ever had to face". While yes most Rocky villains outside of Apollo don't have to much of a character/impact, Drago will probably have the least emotional impact in the franchise, in my opinion. Speaking of Apollo, that is one of the things I did enjoy about the movie, that I'm surprised didn't get applied to Rocky was the introduction of the "Warrior Mentality" and the sudden downfall of Apollo Creed. Easily the best part of the movie, with Apollo being convinced he still needs to prove that he is a winner to himself, despite being retired for five years, ultimately leading to his death. I could go on much longer about why its important and why I like it so much but I will leave it simply as the best part of the movie. Overall Rocky 4 is still fun but sadly sacrifices its realism for 80's spectacle

Rocky III 1982

This review contains spoilers.

The third installment in the Rocky franchise, Rocky 3 manages to move the story forward and hits Rocky and the franchise with some much needed reality. The decision for the story to make Rocky lose and become soft was a smart choice, even if it was uncomfortable along with Mickey dying. Clubber Lang was a great opponent and Apollo Creed becoming friends with Rocky was nice too. Overall a great redemption story and a great development for the franchise

Amazing movie with great world building and memorable moments. Donnie Darko is a one of a kind movie that everyone should see once. I love its atmosphere along with the character arc of Donnie and the ending is just the best in my opinion. Must see movie, watch as soon as possible

Backrooms 2026

This review contains spoilers.

A24's Backrooms movies, directed by the maker of the YouTube series, Kane Parsons, Backrooms is probably the safest "horror/thriller" movie ever. It has a predicable story despite its concept and has pretty boring characters. My biggest criticism is probably the lead switch halfway through the movie. While Chitwell Ejiofor's character Clark isn't the best, the therapist is a wholly worse person to switch too, and we never got a completion of Clarks story. Plus the lack of threats throughout the movie was frustrating or lack of true exploration made the movie a tad boring because, if I'm being honest, the backrooms themself seemed like a very boring place. At least thats what the movie made it seem like. However I did like the segment where they explore with that old camera, it was very reminiscent of the old creepy pasta backroom videos. Ultimately, very safe and very forgettable, and the ending just made it seem like the whole movie was just a very long intro for a potential sequel, if they ever make one

The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season 2012

This review contains spoilers.

Having never played a Telltale game before, or never seeing or reading any material for The Walking Dead, I'm not quite sure why I decided to download this game when I saw it on my Xbox. But I will say it did not disappoint. The game's story, which is about surviving a zombie apocalypse and all the characters individual stories are great and the gameplay itself, choosing between dialogues, or actions, to say or do to others is very interesting. My only criticism about the game would be the false advertising that is said at the beginning at each episode, which is "This game is tailored to your decisions and have a impact on the story" or something like that. While the decisions do have a impact, its not true that the game tailors to your decisions. Everything is fixed in the game. Yeah it might be a small thing but it just irked me every time I saw it. But overall a great game and I would recommend

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie 2026

This review contains spoilers.

Pacing sequence of a YouTube short

The sequel to The Super Mario Bros movie, and while the first movie had good world building with a good plot despite its short runtime, Galaxy is somehow longer, yet feels like it only took 30 min to watch. And not in a good way. The plot moves really fast and because of this there is virtually no stakes. Lots of dull and empty references too and the addition of new characters like Yoshi, Rosalina and Fox add nothing to the movie. There’s a lot to bash on in the movie if you really hated it, but unlike the others I gave it a 45. That’s because I did still like and enjoy it to a point, just mostly because it’s mario and also the action parts were good. Bowser Jr was a good character too, even if he was underutilized and sidelined so he could be a duo with his father. Peach’s backstory, while unnecessary does give at least a refreshing pause in the movie and also Rosalina had ALL OF US in a chokehold. Other than that the movie could honestly be watched with no dialogue and be understood still. Like I said earlier there’s probably a lot more I could criticize but I don’t want to bash on the movie anymore. Also reading this review is probably as chaotic as the movie is so that’s why I’m just gonna stop

Project Hail Mary 2026

This review contains spoilers.

Project Hail Mary is ok at best. Really if I had to shorten this review I would say it’s pretty similar to other space movies trying to copy Interstellar. My main criticism is it’s run time (it does not deserve to be this long) and the lack of creativity with Rocky and his species and culture. While it’s fine they ended up working together, Rocky is basically a human that’s a rock, which isn’t very alien of him. Also the backstory flashbacks timings weren’t always the best either. But it’s still enjoyable. I just don’t think its existence was justified

Hoppers 2026

This review contains spoilers.

In my opinion the 3 things that should be a make or break for a movie is either the hero, the villain or the plot. And Hoppers broke the hero for me, which is why the movie is rated so low. Mabel is just such an annoying character who literally doesn’t change throughout the movie at all. Her anger issues don’t get solved, her problems with authority or her trying to control everything. She just makes the movie’s message be, if you annoy everyone enough eventually you will get your way, instead of something more deeper like other Pixar movies have been. As for the rest of the movie, once you get past that the plot is just absolutely ridiculous, it’s ok. I do say though I wish they hadn’t tried to do so much serious world and character building just to throw it out in the second half when the queen bug got squished. But if it wasn’t that then I would have been able to let go and stop taking it seriously and realize it’s just a dumb movie. But overall I mainly dislike it for Mabel, every other critique comes secondary

Goldfinger 1964

This review contains spoilers.

The 3rd Sean Connery James Bond movie, Goldfinger is everything I expected a 1960s James Bond movie to be back when I first watched Dr. No. A villain with big crazy plans with Bonds charisma saving the day. Unlike From Russia With Love, Goldfinger is a tight well paced movie without too much fluff and unnecessary action/sex appeal. I also liked how they took the liberty of having the ending be such a close shave, it really kept the excitement up. The only thing I didn’t like was who names a character Pussy Galore. And when you have sex with Bond do you like fall under his spell? Still good movie overall

Skyfall 2012

This review contains spoilers.

The 3rd Daniel Craig James Bond movie and the sequel to Quantum Of Solace, James Bond is officially back with Skyfall. We can all agree that Quantum Of Solace was a very shaky film to say the least. Skyfall instead comes with a serious and grounded plot that actually feels and does affect Bonds future. With such an intriguing opening and an unhinged yet understandable villain, Skyfall brings the franchise back to the standard Casino Royale set. I really can’t find anything too wrong with the film. Great action sequences, great performances especially from Javier Bardem and an insight into Bonds past really elevates the movie. Also Adele’s soundtrack slaps.

From Russia With Love 1963

This review contains spoilers.

The second Sean Connery James Bond movie and the sequel to Dr. No, From Russia With Love expands heavily upon the James Bond formula, moving from slow burn to exposition and action. However with this comes a lot of unnecessary weight to the movie. Namely everything in between Bondd arrival in Istanbul up to Tania’s physical introduction. It’s not that it’s bad (except for the stupid gypsy dance) but in a 2 hour movie that doesn’t pick the story up till the second half it feels very unnecessary in hindsight. Now if the movie was shorter but still had this I think it would be fine. But instead it decides to have most of the plot take place towards the end of the middle and the have a ridiculously long ending that drags on with a short resolution. Other than that the whole premise was interesting and I liked there being more action. It’s just that the movie didn’t execute it to its full capacity that it could of done

Quantum of Solace 2008

This review contains spoilers.

The sequel to the first Daniel Craig James Bond movie, Casino Royale. Now this might be on me for not having seen Casino Royale in a while but Quantum Of Solace does not stand well on its own. Now yes it is a sequel and like I said before, it might of been that I haven’t seen Casino Royale recently but I felt like a big part of the movie leaned too much on the first which made its main plot feel like a side quest. Because that’s the thing, the beginning and ending are all about tying up the events of Casino Royale while the rest of it seems to be a side plot just waiting to end so Bond can finally do the thing he wanted. Besides that the plot is very basic, just another evil businessman trying to swindle world governments and Bond has to stop them. But Bonds anger makes him unenjoyable and for some reason this random self insert girl is here too. The action is good as always but really the setup and execution of the movie dragged it down. And honestly if the girl wasn’t there the movie wouldn’t change one bit so idk why she was even there. Overall I will try to give it some slack because of the whole Casino Royale thing but if I rewatch Casino Royale and then watch this and it’s still this mid then I might score it even lower

Dr. No 1962

This review contains spoilers.

The first James Bond movie ever, Dr. No holds up well despite it being a movie all the way in the 60s. A slow burner, it uses its age rating to its advantage by keeping the movie dialogue focused so when action is used it’s exciting. Sean Connery sets the tone and standard of how a James Bond should be and he does a really good job. The story holds up well too even if Dr. No’s plan is a little out dated, focusing more on the principle of his motives. However despite the praise I just gave it, the biggest flaw of the movie has to be the fan service in this movie. Now I know being a playboy is apart of James Bond’s character but man, this guys more horny than Tony Stark! I mean he literally cracked every single major female character. And Honey is just such and unnecessary character as a whole. She’s literally just there for guys to jack off too. I know that this might be a recurring criticism of this franchise especially during the older time periods but I’m still gonna give criticism where I feel it’s due. Still though a good movie overall

Watership Down 1978

This review contains spoilers.

Despite being years away from my childhood, Watership Down of all movies managed to bring back that vibe of dark childhood movies that really could only be felt as a kid. My reasoning for this was despite it probably being rushed in terms of story I got sucked into the world and was very much impressed by the lore. Also the Strawberry burrow genuinely had me creeped out and the ending had me on the edge of my seat. Not to mention but the violence is some next level stuff right here. I’m not being sarcastic, even though I’ve seen way more bloodier and gory movies, whenever there was blood I was actually surprised and terrified. Maybe it’s because of the animation style, (which was great by the way), because normally blood does not appear in old hand drawn animated movies. While I haven’t read the book I was still thoroughly captivated by it and would recommend overall

Iron Lung 2026

This review contains spoilers.

Markipliers debut independent film based off the horror game of the same name, Iron Lung is surprisingly good and put together very well. For a film written, directed and produced entirely by Markiplier on a self funded budget of 3 million dollars the movie has a great set piece and great visual effects. Markiplier does fine for a debut actor and all the blood in the movie really added to the slow burn suspense. However the only downside to the movie is the middle, which attempts to recreate the gameplay but comes off really boring. However the ending makes up for it though with its intense bloody finale. I do wish though we could have learned more about The Convicts past, maybe putting some of that in instead of its grueling middle section. Overall great film for being independent and I hope this can put confidence in the small indie independent filmmakers to keep going

Possibly one of the greatest twists in cinema history, the decision to make the T-800 a good guy is such so good. The sequel to the first Terminator, T2: Judgement Day builds upon its first premise but rather than just repeat the same plot of the first one it puts a twist and has the villain of the first movie the T-800 become a good guy. Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw 2019

This review contains spoilers.

A spinoff from the Fast & Furious franchise starring characters Hobbs and Shaw, Hobbs & Shaw provides entertaining banter along with great action scenes but is mostly wildly unnecessary in terms of the overarching saga. Despite its self containment it’s actually logical in its story, finally having the master spy and ex military bounty hunter go on a world stopping mission instead of a bunch of street racers. Idris Eldba is a good villain for the movie and Vanessa Kirby as Shane’s sister is a good addition too. However, beyond those two most of the other cast additions are extremely unnecessary and redundant and that’s where my main criticism is for the movie. Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Hart and whoever plays Hobbs brother add nothing to the story and just act like walking plot devices. The dive into Shaw and his family’s past is interesting but with Hobb and his family it’s just annoying. Honestly if they had just had the movie focus more on Hobbs and Shawn’s relationship while taking down the bad guys that would have been much better, though I guess it can’t be a Fast movie without family. Still though it’s a good movie, even if it may seem some scenes are there to extend the runtime

F9 2021

This review contains spoilers.

Coming off of The Fate of the Furious, I really wanted to give F9 a good rating. I mean the last 2 movies were really good so hopefully this one would be too? Yeah, F9 is where not only is franchise fatigue starting to show, but it crosses the line from over the top but still entertaining, to flat out parody. The space scene just sums it all up. Not to mention the cast being a bit over-bloated and yet is still hurt from no shows like Hobbs or Shaw. Also Mia being re introduced kinda re exposed the hole that is no Paul Walker. Still Jakob Toretto is fine villain, even if he is a bit late, and learning more about Dom and his past was good too, even though that probably should’ve happened in the last movie. Overall it’s a fine movie but the series is really showing its cracks and strains though.

The Fate of the Furious 2017

This review contains spoilers.

Ok so maybe I was wrong about the franchise ending. The Fate of The Furious is now the eighth movie in this franchise, coming off the best, most popular and highest earning Fast and Furious movie; Furious 7. Was Fate really necessary? Probably not. Was it genuinely fun though? Yes. While some may think the franchise should’ve ended with Furious 7, The Fate of the Furious really makes up for Brian O’Conners absence by really boosting up everyone in the family. Yes Brian may have been the glue of the crew but Fate proves that they can still be functional and entertaining without him. Not to mention the decision to have Dom be a pseudo villain in this movie was fun too, with his son being a legitimate reason for him to be doing this stuff. Yeah there were some downsides, like Ciphers motives and goals making zero sense or them kinda doing Elena dirty, overall it was a good fun movie and Shaw and Ramsey make good editions to the family

Furious 7 2015

This review contains spoilers.

The sequel to Fast 6 and the final Fast and Furious movie with Paul Walker aka Brian O’Conner, Furious 7 is hands down the best Fast movie. First of all Deckard Shaw was a great and compelling antagonist, and how he moved the plot forward was actually compelling, unlike other Fast movies where the whole thing just felt shoehorned. Second the crew really came together throughout the story to finally feel like a family, which helped everyone’s character arcs. Lastly the tribute scene to Paul Walker was great and a great way to send of the character and end the franchise.

Fast & Furious 6 2013

This review contains spoilers.

Coming off the heels of the extremely influential Fast Five, Fast & Furious Six does little to expand or re shape the series, instead opting to play it safe. While Letty coming back was nice and her having amnesia was interesting, the main plot of the movie feel unnecessary as a whole, with it really only affecting Hobbs and Dom. Owen Shaw, while powerful, proved to be a really boring antagonist, which is probably a good thing because it helped make his other brother more popular. Overall the movie was manageable but it ended up feeling too much like a Mission Impossible rip off

Overrated. Now don’t get me wrong, I still have good memories of it. I met a lot of my friends there and was able to do fun things like go to Washington DC and just overall have a good time. But the education is absolutely unnecessary except for maybe math. No one checks your middle school gpa or grades. Overall it’s mostly just filler. It also didn’t help that the Covid 19 pandemic happened essentially voiding 6th grade and nerfing 7th grade hard. Yeah for the most part it was fun but a lot of unnecessary filler happened.

Stranger Things 2016

This review contains spoilers.

Speed ran this show in less than 2 months, Stranger Things is a very entertaining show with lots of fun likable characters. While there is some mid, for the most part the show has lots of excellent moments. If I had to rank the seasons I would say
1. Season 1
2. Season 4
3. Season 2
4. Season 3
5. Season 5

Five Nights at Freddy's 2 2025

This review contains spoilers.

The sequel to Five Nights At Freddy’s, FNAF 2 is just as mid as the first one but for different reasons. However before I give criticism I will give it the single shred of praise I could muster and that’s that it added more action to the movie. One of my main criticisms of the first movie was that there was barely any action and I liked how they changed that in this movie. I also liked the gameplay scene where Mike has to basically reenact the FNAF 2 game. However there’s still a lot of mid. FNAF 2 opts to switch main characters from Mike to his sister Abby and I think that was a poor move since she’s as exciting as the still water in the boat ride. Vanessa is also boring and her trauma is still stupid. All Mike does is just chase after Abby the entire time during the film. The Marionette looks weird and I still don’t get why they made her the villain because in the games shes against William Afton but also they attempted to shoehorn in Micheal Afton last second only for him to get folded in one punch. Like why bother trying to switch the villain at all. The New animatronics didn’t do much either in the end besides some property damage and despite being newer and better got slimed out so quickly by the old ones. Overall it was mid like the first one but not because it was boring but because it was just a B tier horror movie

Wicked: For Good 2025

This review contains spoilers.

The part 2 of the first Wicked movie, Wicked: For Good applies itself as a basic continuation and ending of the saga. To give it some slack, most of what makes Wicked so fun is in the first part, with songs like Popular, Defying Gravity and all the Highschool drama they have. However the 2nd half is a lot more serious and darker with Elphaba being transformed into her Wicked Witch persona and all the other characters to their Wizard of Oz counterparts. Its not that the serious tone is necessarily bad it's just bland, along with forgettable songs. I did still continue to like Jeff Goldblum's Wizard of Oz along with Ariana Grande as Glinda but Elphaba somehow got even more annoying this half. I personally think its because since she's being portrayed as chopped Cynthia Erivio instead of someone hot it makes me realize how annoying her character is. Overall a lot of what makes the movie boring is that the first half is just a lot better, but it does wrap up the story well. Though changing the ending of the movie from what the play had is stupid.

Zootopia 2 2025

This review contains spoilers.

Its just as bad as Judy Hopps. Essentially just the plot of the first one but with reptiles, more real life innuendos and even more sexual jokes. Despite the lore building this movie does, my one question at the end of the movie still remains: Why should I care? I know its a kids movie but its just so boring and bland. Also Disney needs to drop their twist villains ASAP. Its dumb and its overused. And no dance parties do not make everything all right

Mufasa: The Lion King 2024

This review contains spoilers.

When I was a kid I watched the original Lion King. My mom had rented it from the library and I remember when we went to return it seeing other Lion King movies like Liong King 1/2 and Lion King 2 Simbaas Pride. I asked her if there was a Mufasa movie, thinking there might be due to his screen time and impact on the first Lion King. She told me no and I said they should make one. However as the years went by that dream left my mind...

That was until in 2024 Disney announced the release of Mufasa: The Lion King. The prequel to both the original 1994 Lion King and the 2019 Lion King live action remake, Mufasa submits itself as yet another unnecessary live action movie. While this one may have an original story, theres not much to offer as its pretty generic. Boring villain and trash songs made by Lin Manuel Miranda also bog this movie down too. And despite Mufasa being wise and heroic in the first Lion King, he's a real jerk to Scar in the film by taking not only his girl but the kingship title too, despite Scar saving his life 3 times. And Rafiki, I'm sorry, even though your iconic in the Lion King franchise, no one cares about your backstory either. Overall another nostalgia scam from Disney so they can make a quick buck.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 2024

This review contains spoilers.

Jim Carey is back!

Wow I am blown away by how good this movie actually was. Considering this is the follow-up to Sonic 2 that was more kid friendly it was crazy to see it go from that to an gritty emotionally driven story. With the addition of Shadow and Grandpa Robotnic this movie was just great all around. Cool fights, another great performance from Jim Carey as Eggman and also just the fact that all the characters just got to genuinely interact with each other. Most movies when it comes to have karge source material usually have multiple plot points going on with all different types of characters, but too see the story mainly focus on Sonic, Shadow, Eggman, Dr Robotnic, Knuckles and Tails was great. This by far was the most Sonic movie out of the trilogy and finally gelt like it was able to break free from restrictions of set up and focus on completly irrelevant human characters. Overall a great movie and I like how the ending made it so it wasnt a trilogy and that the franchise is still going, which removes any awkwardness of when the fourth movie comes out and doesnt ruin the ending.

Wicked 2024

This review contains spoilers.

An adaptation of the musical and book titled Wicked, and set as a prequel to the Wizard Of Oz, Wicked is a good adaptation of the musical to the big screen. Almost everything seems to be in it, the songs are done well (and arent made by Lin Manuel Miranda) and Ariana Grande really steals the show as Glinda. She really brings the energy and life to a character everyone forgets about because she's just the sidekick. Plus I thought she was gonna be annoying so to see a funny performance instead was a nicr suprise. However I said earlier the movie almost adapts everything. What I felt they left out and chose to expand was smartest in my opinion. Now what I'm talking about is the expansion of the Animal activist role for Elphaba and the shelving of Fiyero as Elphaba's love intrest. Instead of Fiyero its more of Glinda, which is sorta fine but it takes away the magic of the musical. Thats mainly why I'm ranking it this low despite giving it good praise is because there's a lack of theater magic that was in all the plays. A lot of this got translated to dull scenes that seemed like placeholders almost. Honestly maybe its not that there's a lack but nore of a reminder of how good the musical did it compared to the movie. Which isnt necessarily bad but it kinda undermines the movies independence. And also the expansion of the Animal activist thing is just annoying in my opinion. Overall a good solid adaptation and hopefully part 2 can fix (or at least smooth out) the mistakes in part 1.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 2022

This review contains spoilers.

Sequel to the first Sonic movie, Sonic 2 expands upon franchise quiet a lot with the introductions of Knuckles, Tails and the Chaos Emeralds. There is a lot of fun moments in this movie, especially with the final fight at the end when Sonic turns into Super Sonic. Jim Carey puts on a great performance as Eggman, really stepping up the zany energy from when we saw him in the first Sonic The Hedgehog. However with all these highs there is a few minor lows mainly when it comes to the human characters. For some reason ever since Transformers, studios think we care about the completely original characters in comic franchises. The whole wedding thing is unnecessary and Tails introduction I think is poorly handled. But overall the movie is pretty fun, though not as much as the first one. Too bad though Jim Carey retired though...

Deadpool 2016

This review contains spoilers.

Deadpool is everything it says it is and thats what makes it good. It makes sure to have lots of blood and violence, crass jokes and fourth wall breaks. Its not afraid to not put in sentimental superhero tropes and like a punk rock teenager does its own thing. However when the movie ended I couldn't help but sit there and think "Is that it"? I think due to it being one of the first R rated superhero movies it wants you to be shocked/content with it being crass and violent so it can have a more simpler story, which got lost in translation to me. Overall solid and funny movie

A Quiet Place: Day One 2024

This review contains spoilers.

An unnecessary addition to the Quiet Place saga, Day One in a whole can be summed up as basically the opening scene to Quiet Place 2 with new characters and no sign language. The only thing that stood out in this movie though, I will say, is the ending. And I will give it some points for keeping itself isolated. Overall only watch if you really wanna see more monster jumpscares

Shrek Forever After 2010

This review contains spoilers.

The fourth and final film in the mainline Shrek series, Shrek Forever After offers some insight into Shreks fundamental values and his character but ultimately did little to the overall story. I used to hate this movie because it's just a stupid alternate universe, its all a dream type of movie. But rewatching it I realized Shrek 4 actually is a movie about Shrek and his fundamentals, about him realizing how he takes his family and wife Fiona for granted. It's kinda weird to say this but really in my opinion, Shrek experiences the most growth in this movie. Yeah of course he grew in the first 3 to be an unlikely hero and all that stuff. But he still acted like a mean prick sometimes and would still be not so nice to everyone around him. But from Shrek 4’s journey Shrek came out of this loving and caring and realizing who he has to be for his kids. Still though that seems 80-90 material right there, I still mark it down just because of, well, the whole alternate reality thing. This may seem contradicting after I just gave a whole explanation of why Shrek 4 is actually good, but Shrek 4 still has the least amount of weight out of all the Shrek movies, and while Shrek did grow a lot in this movie, that's all superficial and could easily change when Shrek 5 comes out. Overall Shrek 4 is extremely underrated out of all the movies but still lacks the same spark of Shrek 1 and Shrek 2.

Footloose 1984

This review contains spoilers.

Is Footloose an old movie? Yes. Is Footloose corny sometimes with their passionate dancing? Also, yes. Is Ariel one of the dumbest people to ever grace the silver screen? YES. Nevertheless, Footloose in my opinion is the ultimate 80’s/90’s movie and left me inspired after I watched it. Kevin Bacon really shows how fun dancing can be along with having THE most iconic 80’s songs. The movie really is just fun all the way through, and the final senior dance and the end is just a victory lap for the whole movie. Yeah the premise is kinda dumb and the characters are a little corny. But really it just shows what most teens just want and that's to have fun. Cpc take some notes for Homecoming.

King Kong 2005

This review contains spoilers.

Peter Jackson's remake of the original 1933 King Kong and well I really don't know what to make of it. I get that its a remake of one of the most iconic monster movies, but I do have some criticisms of it along with questions. For starters, I dont get why big monsters like women. The more I watch these movies I find it more annoying and stupid when monsters fall in love with human characters. King Kong also just suffers from an unnaturally long runtime of 3 hours along with helping set up modern monster movie gimmicks of focusing on dumb human drama and having less of the actual monster. That being said though I did like all of the action sequences along with them making Kong cool, somber and like a dark misunderstood protector. Also it does actually have a solid story instead of just stupid throwaways that most monster movies do. Yeah this review is hard to really pin down and get my point across because there's just a lot that happens in this movie. I like Kong and the action but it has a stupid titanic like love story that really just throws this monster movie into a weird direction. And at the same time it is a very faithful remake of the 1933 King Kong movie which does mean I'm basically criticizing that. Overall I feel like you just have to see it to really understand the feeling of this movie.

Leo 2023

This review contains spoilers.

Adam Sandler's 2nd attempt at an animated musical after the disastrous Eight Crazy Nights, and well it's actually a bearable film. Leo for the most part is a good family friendly film. It's funny most of the time and it doesn't have horrendous animation. The film plays it safe for the most part and really there isn't anything bad about it except it might be a bit dull at some parts.

Godzilla 2014

This review contains spoilers.

The start of the Monsterverse and a reboot of the Godzilla franchise, 2014 Godzilla definitely holds up, but still has a lot of cliches and just problems in the movie. First off for some good stuff 2014 Godzilla has some great special effects. Yeah, most of the CGI action happens at night so it's easier for them to do but it's still good. Along with the story, 2014 Godzilla surprisingly has some good emotional moments to it. I didn't really expect Elizabeth Olsen's character to catch me off guard like that and same with Bryan Cranston over the death of his wife. But still when it comes to the story it's interesting but a little dysfunctional. The two storylines of Aaron Taylor Johnson's character trying to get to his family and the military trying to stop Godzilla and those other monsters don't really mesh that well. It relies on Aaron Johnson having to be really unlucky being in the same place as Godzilla or him having to join the military. Also just the whole main story goes from what, who and why these monsters are and how can we stop them, to we have to disarm a nuke while Godzilla fights in the background. Yeah really for the most part the movie is not that focused on Godzilla or in general. But overall I will say I was invested enough in the characters enough and in the Godzilla fight scenes we got to see to make it fun for me.

The Great Gatsby 2013

This review contains spoilers.

When I first finished The Great Gatsby I wanted to give it a 90. I thought this movie had an amazing story on the surface along with great undertones of how the rich behave, etc. But the more I thought about it afterwards the more I realized that The Great Gatsby isn't actually that deep. Now the story was great, and I liked watching the drama unfold between Gatsby and his friends, but there wasn't anything else the more I thought about it. Most of my questions were mainly about the visuals, like why the poor area looked like a wasteland and what the point of adding those creepy eyes were for. Also despite the movie wanting you to think Gatsby was the most purest out of them, he actually wasn't. He relied on mob money to get himself rich and even though Daisy was in a bad marriage he actively tried to pull her out of it even though she didn't want to in the end. Ultimately The Great Gatsby may have great visuals and a great surface story it tries masking itself to be a deep story along with commentary on rich people that just falls flat.

After waiting for a whole year to watch this movie after a certain someone postponed it, Step Brothers ended up being everything I dreamed of. Gran Turismo 2023

This review contains spoilers.

Based on the true story of Jann Mardenborough, Gran Turismo tells the story of how Jann went from a gamer in parents basement to earning a contract with Nissan to be a racecar driver and ended up coming in third at the Le Mans. Now in theory that sounds like a great underdog movie since it hits all of the points well. And I'm sure it probably did in real life, but man did they mess up the execution of this movie. The beginning of this movie and the plot setup is absolute garbage and honestly almost made me stop watching. The acting is terrible on almost all the characters either being boring or bad but especially on Orlando Bloom's character who was the business guy which I was surprised by. Really the only good performance in this movie and the only character I cared about was Jann’s mentor. He was the most interesting out of all of them and honestly, he would have made a better main character with how they did his character better than the execution of Janns. Ultimately in the end, this movie has a good premise but bad execution and bad acting really brought it down.

Elvis 2022

This review contains spoilers.

The controversial Biopic about Elvis and his life is well controversial. It calls itself a biopic but it's told through the lens of his manager. Now don't get me wrong, it still hits most of the biopic scenes, like how he became famous and his downfall but I just feel like this movie left out a lot about Elvis's life and could have gone in detail. Not to mention the name of the movie is misleading being more about Elvis and his managers relationship than fully about Elvis

Billy Madison 1995

Adam Sandler's first starring role and the movie that kicked off his career, Billy Madison is very funny with a creative story at its heart. And having a stereotypical villain in such an absurd premise also works perfectly and is really funny. Overall one of Adam Sandler's good and funny films and will provide you a funny time

Based on the true striy about Mother Cabrini making italian orphanages, Cabrini felt very informative but in my opinion lacked inspiration. Cabrini left me feeling very informed afterwards but I didn't feel inspired or awestruck contrary to thr glowing reviews its been getting. The execution of this movie in my opinion wasnt the best and it felt very dry. Nonetheless I still give this a 71 because of what Mother Cabrini did and how she sacrificed her life for the betterment of Italian children. Overall this movie definitely could've reached amazing levels if they had just added a little spark to it.

The Wind Rises 2013

This review contains spoilers.

Hayao Miyazaki's original final film before The Boy and The Heron came out, The Wind Rises will also leave you speechless and breathless. One of the most complex movies yet at the same time enlightening. Filled with war and romance it truly is a spectacle of animation and creativity. Even though The Boy and The Heron came out after this movie you can't help but compare it since they were both supposed to be Miyazaki's last movie. To describe and compare both of them I would say this. The Wind Rises is the artist while The Boy and The Heron is the art.

Dune: Part Two 2024

This review contains spoilers.

After watching the first Dune, I was very hyped for the 2nd. And after seeing it I can say it met my expectations. It brings the atmospherical vibe like the first movie, but definitely moved faster than the first. The cgi was great and I think the story hit all the right points to make it good. But even though I do have a high score for it, I do have some criticisms for it which does bring the score lower than Dune 1. Dune 2 has some very stereotypical parts to it like who would of guessed it, making a love triangle out of Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh along with mid dialogue. The transitions are also not very good and I sometimes wondered if I was still even watching the same movie at some points. I do think Dune though is sort of a modern Lord of the Rings trilogy. Overall Dune 2 is definitely a solid movie, but I still prefer the first one over part 2

Jaws 1975

The mother of all shark stories Jaws is an absolute classic. The story is great and the visual effects surprisingly still hold up well. It was really a smart move to not have a lot of the shark but just the pov. There's not really much I have to critique it on just because of how good and iconic it is. I would recommend watching this if you would like to just see a raw and original shark movie before they all just became stereotypical garbage.

Controversial, but I dont think The Holy Grail is actually that great as people say. There were some parts that actually made me laugh a little, but most of it I was like oh this is good but not funny. Hard to really put into words but yeah. I liked the story but not the ending. I wished they had actually finished instead of putting the joke of the cops arresting all of them. Yeah, honestly that's really all I have to say about. I don't think it's the best comedy classic out there but it's still good for the most part. At least it wasn't unbearable like Life of Brian.

Peter Pan 1953

This review contains spoilers.

When I was a kid, I loved Peter Pan. I thought he was an amazing hero and Captain Hook a dastardly mean old pirate. The story in my mind was the peak of all mountains along with funny and great side characters. But rewatching it now that I’m older it's just mid. The story is similar to a lot of other old G/PG Disney animated movies with minimal action and predictable dialogue/plot points. Like I said, as a kid I liked Peter Pan and thought Captain Hook was bad. Ironically though I switched and found myself liking Captain Hook more and more and hating Peter Pan, more and more. I guess that just happens the more you grow older. Overall, Peter Pan is still a great kids movie and does have great songs, but Captain Hook is definitely the shining part of the movie.

War of the Worlds 2005

This review contains spoilers.

Based off of the Book and Radio show of the same name, War of The Worlds actually crosses a major milestone for me. That milestone is probably the maddest I have ever gotten at a movie. Man, this movie has such a great story. Steven Spielberg actually did a really good job with the tension and paranoia of the scenes and also just how good it looked. Like when Tom Cruise goes and looks at the open field filled with red roots flowing with blood and the red sun, man that went so hard. But oh my gosh the little girl in the movie is SO freaking annoying. She's constantly screaming and freaking out and just making wanna say shut the freak up to her. Also not to mention the son just wanting to dip on his family is annoying also. But the story is really good. Though I will say the pacing is a little wonky from a technical standpoint like going from a chaotic world ending beginning to a thriller paranoia scene but it fits the tone of the movie. Also the ending is just bad. The happy ever after just doesn't make sense and the son apparently surviving an explosion and with no explanation somehow making it all the way to Boston is also dumb. And let's not forget Morgan Freeman just popping up out of nowhere at the end just to say that a virus killed the aliens. Maybe I am giving this movie a bit too much credit than it deserves but I can't deny though, the beginning was great and all the scenes with Tim Robbins' character were great. Overall to some it up, I like the story but I hate the kids.

W. 2008

This review contains spoilers.

A biopic on the life of George W Bush, W for the most part is very informative of the later years of Bush's presidency. I wouldn't call it a true biopic mainly because it wasn't on his whole career, you could tell they picked and choosed what they wanted to show. Because of that it brings to one of the biggest pullbacks of the movie and that was the exclusion of showing 9/11. That was probably one of the biggest things of his presidency and they didn't show what he did, his reaction, or how he handled it. Instead, it chose to focus on him planning to go to war with the middle east. While it's not bad to show that, it's just frustrating knowing that this movie could have been more. Overall it is a good movie on Bush and him living in his fathers shadow, along with how hard it is to be president, it just could have been better if they did his whole life instead of picking a choosing

Robin Hood 2010

This review contains spoilers.

I think this movie just proves that not everything has to be tough and gritty. After watching this movie you will see why. Robin Hood was never made to be gritty; it was supposed to be light and adventurous. I mean movie wise it's ok. The best thing about it was the battle sequences. Even the subplot that didn't involve Robin Hood for the most part was better than the main plot. This rendition of Robin Hood just tries too hard to be like Braveheart and make Robin be a political/war hero instead of the fund and do gooder outlaw he is. Not to mention that it's all revealed in the end that the movie is a origin story. Overall if you're looking for medieval action and British fighting French, then check this movie out. Otherwise if you came for Robin Hood, just skip

But with Adam Sandler's goofball energy and the happy ending, I mean how can you not like the movie. Based on the books of the same name, Dune is an ambitious spectacle that's on par with Lord of the Rings. I was genuinely surprised after I watched this movie how after I watched it, I didn't feel bored or tired like 3 hours had gone by. There isn't really anything bad to say about it except I don't like Timothée Chalamet but that's personal preference. It was easy to get invested with the story and all the lore and workings of the world of Dune despite never having read a Dune book before. Also on top of that it had a good stopping part for being a part 1 which I appreciate that a lot. The cgi was great and the soundtrack fit it really well. This is just a example of a mid uneeded sequel. Aardmans claymation always looks good but there was no charm that came like the first one. I think the main reason why it was mid was because the first was a parody of a WW2 movie and this one wasnt which left it kind of directionless. So they just did what movie sequels usually do and that being either we do the same thing or do the opposite. The whole break in story was good but the daughter is just annoying along with they made Rocky into a joke. Yeah overall mid and I probably didnt need to make my review this long

Was Sinbad worth watching over Porco Rosso? Probably not but I had a fun time watching it. Yeah the story is cliche but in all honesty these stories are the type that I can always watch and never get tired of. Really the main criticism is that it had potential to have so much more, such as more Greek gods and monsters or other mythology, but they just stuck to the simple route which was fine by me. Blue Beetle 2023

To be honest I didn't have much expectations for Blue Beetle. I mean you're injecting yet another origin story as your 2nd to last film in the dying DCEU. Not to mention that literally no one knows who Blue Beetle is. But that's where the latter half is really able to shine. Since no one knows who Blue Beetle is, the movie was able to subvert origin stories and expectations and really shine. Blue Beetle had a lot of heart and a lot of family combining that with Mexican culture created a whole new superhero movie. I mean this movie had more family than Shazam!. The emotional parts really do resonate with you and overall just proved more that Blue Beetle somehow was able to breathe a bit of fresh air into the superhero franchise despite being unknown and origin stories being done to death. Overall Blue Beetle was a great movie and really subverted my expectations. It's just too bad that literally no one saw this movie.

The concept of the movie was pretty based of making fun of Trans athletes but somehow someway Daily Wire ruined that, with bad acting and bad writing. They really thought that just saying "Trans bad" would make it funny and a "triggering comedy". To sum up this review because I dont feel like this movie is worth my time ranting about: Trans Bad, but we not subtly enough that its funny or over the top that you can tell, instead it seems like in a way this movie was almost supporting the left. Also just boring

Snowpiercer 2013

This review contains spoilers.

This movie is one of a kind. I know that sounds generic and all but I would say Snowpiercer is on top as one of the best movies ever made. I'll try not to spoil it but this movie's story is insane and the ending is something really I have never seen before. If you don't really like violence that much I wouldn't recommend it but if you're fine with it then you should watch this movie. Similar to how Shane says American Psycho is a 10/10 I would also say the same with Snowpiercer

The Pilgrim's Progress 2019

This review contains spoilers.

Pilgrim's Progress has probably got to be the 2nd best story of all time, 2nd to of course The Bible. It perfectly encapsulates a Christians journey and is so encouraging. Not just this one but any adaptation of this story is great. When it comes to this version, yes some may say the animation isn't the best, it's cringey and the voice acting isn't the best but I didn't really see that. I saw a great Faith based film that was awesome. Overall, I could not recommend more; this is a must for all Christians.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby 2006

This review contains spoilers.

About the life of race car driver Rocky Bobby, Talladega Nights is one of my favorite Will Ferrel and John C Reily comedy movies up there with Stepbrothers. Some may say its just a dumb southern comedy with a cliche plot but to me thats what helped made it be funny. What I've noticed from this movie is I think people are becoming more and more calloused to comdey blockbusters. Because nowadays from Superhero movies and political satires people expect there to be some kind of message behind the movie or for it to have a story. Comedy blockbusters like these are just supposed to make you laugh, hence why they are called a comedy. Usually comedy blockbusters are light on the story but heavy on the jokes because as I keep saying its a comdey. While yes I do get that some people have different tastes in funny, for the most part Superhero movies with their one liners and political satires with whatever message they have at the end are ruining peoples perception of comdey blockbusters. As for more of what I thought of the movie well as you can see off of my score I thought it was really funny. Its just something about Will Ferrel, how he just makes any comdey good. Along with also ood funny side characters and memorable scenes in this movie. Overall a Will Ferrel and John C Reily classic and one that in all honesty, you should only see if you have a real sense of humor and not just like dumb meme or nonexistent humor. Basically if your a cultured person or your at least 25 and up.

The Lego Movie 2014

This review contains spoilers.

This is one of the greatest movies of all time. Yes I have said that over and over but The Lego Movie is so good. It takes your average heroes journey not to mention a movie centered around a product, adds in just the right amount of fun and boom. Its a masterpiece. The animation is great too and like I said before its really funny, with all the jokes they have and the just all the colorful characters along the way. Kudos to Phil Lord and Christopher Miller for making in my opinion their best movie. Overall its just a great movie to watch anytime and every rewatch you do you'll just enjoy it more and more.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules 2011

This review contains spoilers.

In all honesty unlike other people I have no problem with this movie. While its not totally accurate to the books its still a fun movie you can enjoy. I found myself relating a lot to a lot of the scenes in the movie and the mom was on parr with well most peoples mom's. I like Rodrick a lot and some the movie was funny. The only problem with the movie is that despite it being 1 h 40min long it did feel eay longer than that. Overall its not the worst movie but its also not the best either. Its just a film that your supposed to have fun with.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023

This review contains spoilers.

The sequel to Spider Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and the continuation of Miles Morales (and now Gwen Stacy) journey, is well mixed for me. It's very ambitious introducing lots of new places and characters along with rules as Spider Man. While it has stunning animation being a part one leaves lots of loose ends. Maybe it's because I had high expectations but I didn't think it was as good as the OG.

The Road to El Dorado 2000

This review contains spoilers.

Dreamworks attempt to bank off of The Prince of Egypt, The Road to El Dorado is ok. The characters are standout because of their personality and the setting is good and the quips are funny. But sadly any attempt at characterization kinda feels shoed in. Also I know it's a kids movie but there's no way some random dude had the map to El Dorado and gave it away. On top of that, what was with the sex scene implication? I think I found from the start where Dreamworks gets their fetishes. Overall Fun movie but it just lands in the "Just Good" zone

Five Nights at Freddy's 2023

This review contains spoilers.

I was really suprised when I first heard that a Five Nights at Freddy's movie was being made despite it being a relatively small indie game (at least publicity-wise it's not like Mario or Sonic). But anyway, when it comes to the movie, man was this movie so boring. Literally for the first hour-thirty it's just random legal trouble and dumb flashbacks. Like I get the movie is gonna have a different story from the games but like why did it have to be this boring. Even the ending, when stuff happens, it got cringe with the "springlock" scene. In fact, any attempt at fan service fell flat and just wasn't good. Really only Balloon Boy and the Cupcake were enjoyable. And, like Garrett said, all of the animatronics looked high. When it came to the score there was like barely any and when there was it felt generic. Even when it came to the acting, only Matthew Lillard had a memorable performance but not for the good reasons. Mainly this movie was full of horror clichés and had very little action and thin characters. Now, not a lot of action isn't necessarily bad. Invasion of the Body Snatchers had low action and that was good. It's just that there isn't any psychological part to it so it is just mindless boredom and violence. Yeah, really overall that's what I have to say. I think the main reason why it was bad was not Scott Cawthon, but studio interference from Universal. I think if they do a sequel they need to tone down the amount of characters too and add psychological horror to it.

Hold on now I can explain. Yeah I know it's cheesy. I know it's a sappy love story. BUT I LIKED IT. I liked this movie a lot. And yeah it probably helped that I was watching this movie at 4 in the morning on my computer in my room with the lights off curled up in my blanket. But man was this movie a great movie. This makes me want to have a girlfriend like Ally. It's just too bad there are no women nowadays like Ally. I also now wish to become Ryan Gosling. Also don't ask me why I chose to wake up and watch this movie

The Great Mouse Detective 1986

This review contains spoilers.

I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this movie. Most old Disney movies I really only like a lot because I watched it as a kid. But The Great Mouse Detective was actually a really good Disney movie. Obviously it was Disney's version of Sherlock Holmes, but it had a really good story too. And Professor Ratigan was such an interesting villain. Most Disney villains want power or are just bad to be bad, but the whole rivalry with him against Basil over who was the smartest was really good. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would and Professor Ratigan is a really good villain.

Elemental 2023

To my surprise, Elemental wasn't actually a bad film. The animation was solid and the concept was cool. That being said, it's not the best movie. That being said it still was a solid movie though Elemental ultimately proves that Pixar has lost their magic.

The heartwarming end to the Toy Story franchise. Toy Story 3 is definitely the best out of all of them. At one moment it can make you sitting tight in suspense, other times sad seeing Andy leave. Women. They tell you that they love you but then they use you take your money and your stuff and during your last moment turn into a turtle and leave you.

The Red Turtle was an interesting movie. It has multiple companies behind it, the main one being Studio Ghibli. Its a silent film which makes it even more interesting. And that works for a while. But when our main guy finally has a family the silent part doesn't work that well anymore. To be honest, this doesn't really feel like a Ghibli movie and really the lack of that magic doesnt make it as good as other Ghibli movies. This movie has some kind of message about humanity blah blah blah. All that went out of my head when he smashed a Turtle girl.

Like I said The Irishman is really deep telling the life of Frank Sheeran with this movie being mostly based off of his life. It tells about the mafia and the inner workings of it. The de aging of Robert De Niro worked and all the actors were great and gripping. Overall this movie is something you wanna see even if it is really long. Grave of the Fireflies 1988

This review contains spoilers.

This is a trip. This is probably one of the saddest films of all time. This ranks in one of the rare movies I've cried while watching. Comparing it to Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away (even though they are total opposites), Spirited Away makes you feel happiness and joy. Grave of the Fireflies makes you achingly sad. Not giving this a 100 would be a crime on my part. If you ever wish to call yourself a movie lover or even just a critic, then you have to see this movie. But I would like to give a little warning though. It is animated so dont mistake it for a kids film. And dont actually try to critique that much because it will undermine the emotional moments and potentially most of the movie. Just watch it. Most movies for me I go in watching it and then start to think about a score during it. Others I go specifically to critique. This movie was different, just like Spirited Away. I just watched it and didn't think of anything else. So thats all I ask when you watch this absolute masterpiece.

Thr world building is impressive and I can see why its the darkest disney movie both storywise and visually. There are no songs, which I kinda enjoyed and The Horned King is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately though thr animation was a little low quality somehow even though its 2d and most characters are 1 noted. Overall though I did enjoy it and I low key wish Disney did another movie like this.

Fast Five 2011

This review contains spoilers.

After a long struggle between films, Fast and Furious finally pulls themselves together to deliver a actual good movie. In fact this might be there best movie. They stop having Brian be a cop, which is what they needed so Dom and him would always stop fighting, they stop doing races and start doing heists now and they now have someone else chasing them instead of Brian. Also they become the anti heroes that they needed to be, stopping bad guys but for money or cars. Like I said earlier they dump races for heists which improves the story better making it sort of mission impossible. And the best thing in this movie, they finally bring back the family aspect with having characters from across the 4 other movies come and all team up. Overall great movie and something Fast and Furious needed and finally got.

Fast & Furious 2009

The 4th movie in the Fast Franchise and a direct sequel to The Fast and Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious ( I learned that Tokyo Drift takes place later in the timeline) Fast and Furious is mid. While it does bring back Paul Walker as Brian O'Connor and Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, the story is pretty lax and the film has a identity crisis in the middle of it trying to pick between being vigilante and street racing. The villain is also just a regular bad guy and for the most part the film stays the same at least storywise, which does make it easy to follow, but if you wanted a actual story then watch a different film. Im suprised also despite Gal Gadot being a big actor she also has a small part. Overall mid movie but at least Dom and Brian returned.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift 2006

This review contains spoilers.

The third movie in the Fast Franchise, Tokyo Drift is where I can tell studio interference set in. Its clear Universal wanted to recreate the popularity of the first 2 but without Paul Walker as Brian O'Connor or any of the Toretto's instead putting a whole new cast on. While I criticized 2 Fast 2 Furious for not being a good standalone, Tokyo Drift is pretty ok for a standalone. It has a likeable supporting cast and a ok story with ok race sequences. Now that normally would bring it around a 55 maybe a 60. What brings it down though really is lack of Paul Walker and its continuity in the Fast saga. Having no previous characters or tour main character from the first 2 movies and your trying to sell this as a sequel? Overall ok but having a fresh new cast and protagonist as a 3rd movie is not good. I know this shows up later but not good for a third movie.

Spider-Man: Lotus 2023

This review contains spoilers.

Released on YouTube this new Spiderman is different. Made from a directors first movie and with a small budget of 25,000,000 along with legal trouble from Marvel and Sony, this is probably one of the best fan films out there. Yes I know I said its a fan film but its not bad. Its a very unconventional Spiderman movie being more of a emotional journey. There is no real villain, and for the most part its mainly Peter Parker. Even though they did that its not bad. The conclusion is satisfying and Peter working his emotions with the kid was wholesome along with Harry and his conclusion. What really makes this a 59 is the runtime. With little to no action scenes and being mostly just talk it does feel long. Also there is no movie before so it does feel a little hard to connect. Still though its a gokd movie a really accurate. I would say this movie is better than Amazing Spiderman 2 and Spiderman Far from home.

Thor: Love and Thunder 2022

This review contains spoilers.

The fourth movie in the Thor Franchise and coming off of Thor Ragnorok and Avengers Infinity War/Endgame I was interested in this movie because of how funny Ragnorok was. And when I heard Christian Bale was gonna be Gorr the god butcher that got me even more intrigued. Well if you've seen the movie you know that the result was bad. Nect to none of the jokes landed and they were more annoying than just bad. Thor is a joke, the Guardians of the Galaxy are wasted, the pacing is horribly uneven with 2 different tones clashing of "comdey" with Thor and gang and horrorish tone with Gorr the god butcher, Korg is TOO fruity (if you know what I mean) and Russell Crowe is wasted and Zeus his character is also wasted potential. The only good thing was finally getting rid of Jane Foster/Natalie Portman and Christian Bales performance and even that didnt save it. Overall this movie is just bad and I cant believe I let myself see this 3 times

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 2023

This review contains spoilers.

The epic finale to the Guardians of the Galaxy Trilogy and Marvel finally pulls themselves together with help from James Gunn to give them a good send-off. With Rocket's backstory and the High Evolutionary, the story was great. I will say though, this movie is a bit heavier on the story and lighter on the jokes making a different kind of Marvel/Guardians experience. Also, it's different having, well, a different Gamora. There were some things I didn't like about the movie but those are small things, like how they didn't wear their iconic suits, etc. Overall great send-off to the Guardians and Star-Lord, and probably Marvel's last good film they are gonna make.

Barbie 2023

This review contains spoilers.

I'm not gonna cap here. I was one of the biggest Barbie haters. I'm very pro- Christopher Nolan. So when my small group was like, "Let's go see Barbie," I was like, "Fine, I guess I'll go," but man was I BLOWN away. The movie is actually really funny and makes fun of everything from masculinity to femininity. Ryan Gosling, Will Ferrell, and anyone who played Ken was great. I actually think Margot Robbie is Barbie now instead of Harley Quinn. And yes even though the Barbies did take back Kenland and Alan is, well, terrible for helping them, it was still funny how they did it and it still was a good film overall.

Treasure Planet 2002

Based off of the famous Treasure Island, Disney reimagines the story in a creative way having it be sci fi now. While this movie is infamous for being one of Disney's biggest box office bombs, this movie is actually pretty good. Sure the character growth may be lacking but Jim and Silvers friendship is nice to see. Some may say the story is predictable but I mean come on. Treasure Island quiet literally created the adventure/finding treasure genre. And this movie blends 2d and 3d animation well too. Overall one of Disney's most underrated film.

The start of sonys own Superhero universe, Venom for the most part is pretty basic and plays it safe. The story is what you would expect and the acting is pretty wooden. Except for Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock he did a great job. And thats really what carries the whole movie. Venom himself doesnt even come out until thr middle of the movie so you can see why this movie gets a lower rating. Overall pretty basic movie for such a cool character and to start your own universe.

Coming from the "classic" age of Disney Fantasia truly caught me off guard by how creative this movie is. While I did have some i fo going in on what it'll be like, a movie that is completely just music and animation is incredible. Speaking of which the music is also awsome and the animation is stunning. Nowadays with everything being so action oriented, this movie was a big nice change of pace. While it may seem a little long if your not connected with it, this movie is totally worth it if your big on old movies and classical music. And when it comes to which was the best short, of course The Sorcerer's Apprentice was the best one

A action film starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, Rush Hour is to be honest pretty basic. What makes it good though is Chris Tuckers comesy skills. Like the story is pretty average. Another outstanding movie by Christopher Nolan. Very good quality and story and just everything. The only problem with this movie is that it has a bootstrap paradox and some of the science is stretched at some point, but overall great. After the events of the Justice League, Aquaman finally gets his own solo movie and its very experimental. Its good but most of the movie has to do with lore rather than saving people. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2023

This review contains spoilers.

The newest installment in the franchise and this is definitely the best since 1990 TMNT. With stellar animation and the best use of it since Spider-Verse, Mutant Mayhem is definitely the most fun Turtles movie out there. A fresh new take on why they choose to be heroes and the first instance of actual Mutants in the movie (besides Out of the Shadows), this movie is awesome for TMNT fans. Also these Turtles are teenage accurate too. This is definitely the best one, but 1990 is my favorite still. Overall great and funny movie and you guys suck if you bomb it.

Christopher Nolan's first film ever made, and it is awesome. Shot in a film Noir setting you can see how some of his other films come along with its nonlinear structure. While it may not have the star power that his movies have today, a little rough with the camera work or the length the story made up for and man was that an awesome story. No spoilers but it was great. Overall awesome first movie and a great way of showing how he is now one of the best directors with a awesome first movie.

Knives Out 2019

This review contains spoilers.

Ok, I'm not even gonna bother with a introductory to this. To be quiet frank, this movie is a glorified mediocre film. It's like the game Clue. The only interesting characters were Chris Evans's character and Daniel Craig's. The film leaves you with two things. Either figure out the mystery (which I was able to about halfway through), or debate is it morally right to have someone else's inheritance. Most characters had little to no impact on the plot because all of their testimonies were invalidated by Ana De Armas's character. I think the movie would have been better if the Trombey family was a cartel and Chris Evans's character was a serial killer. If Daniel Craig's character hadn't been sidelined for most of the movie, this would have been an 80 for me. But the overhype combined with a more comedic frame on this, along with just a mediocre story just didn't make it good for me. Scurvy and Shane, you can argue with me all you want and even try and bomb some of my favorite movies, but in the end it's just not that good. There are better murder mystery films out there. Don't waste your time on this movie like I did.

Edit: This movie is still fun but like I said earlier, mediocrity and overhype mainly made me give it a lower score than everyone else.

The Flash 2023

This review contains spoilers.

Finally, after many delays and legal troubles with Ezra Miller, The Flash finally comes out. His very first solo film and I will say all legal trouble aside the film was very amazing. It manages to mesh together both Barry's own story and the Multiverse. It's also fun to see Michael Keaton's Batman return and Michael Shannon's General Zod along with seeing the new Supergirl. Even with uneven CGI and the weird ending, the film is still banger and in my opinion was the film the DCEU needed even though it underperformed at the box office and also Ezra Millers legal trouble. Overall amazing film and a great first solo outing for The Flash

Jason Bourne 2016

This review contains spoilers.

The 5th and final Matt Damon lead Bourne movie, Jason Bourne for the most part sticks to the formula they had for all the other films but condensed. The movie was a Bourne movie but it kinda is a disservice to Bourne Ultimatum which was considered to be the final Matt Damon Bourne movie. Also cracks in the overall story do show with the typical Bourne getting chased by the CIA. You can't always keep getting away from the CIA and on the flipside they should just leave him alone. But still overall a good movie. I will say even though it seems late to continue this franchise, if Bourne wishes to keep up with James Bond and Mission Impossible, they need to move away from Matt Damon and Jason Bourne all together and go for what they did in the Bourne Legacy. Whatever though I just read that off a article

Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie 2022

This review contains spoilers.

While I haven't seen their cancelled tv show, I will say this has probably been one of the better turtle movies in years. The opening apocalyptic sequence was dark but amazing. Surprisingly for how light-hearted/annoying/bad their show is, this movie was very dark. This movie unlike Out of the Shadows fully showcases the Krangs power. This movie very well could have been an 80, however Leo starts off very annoying and not at all like leader version of him like all the other portray but luckily, he grows into it and the other thing was when Leo sacrifices himself and gets blocked off in another dimension and somehow Mikey saves him also I know that in their show they have powers, (and they still do in this movie) which I don't like very much because it's not canon, they have their powers taken away from them most of the movie so it's nice to see them operate without them. Overall, good movie and one that's been overdue for the turtles in years.

TMNT 2007

This review contains spoilers.

A standalone "sequel" to the live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3, TMNT may not have good animation but it has the best story concept so far. It explores the Turtles breaking up and reuniting along with Leonardo and Raphael's complicated relationship together. That alone is 75 maybe 80 right there. However, it's kinda ruined by an unneeded villain, who once again has no ties with the turtles and wants to take over the city. If that hadn't been in the movie this movie would've been way better. Overall good movie but definitely could've been better.

The 3rd and final true live action installment of the 90s franchise TMNT 3 just and obviously is lazy writing, bad quality and poor acting. But that doesn't mean that its not funny though. While I did rag on TMNT Secret of the Ooze for having a tonal shift, since you know this one is just gonna be full camp its a blast. The Turtles say the dumbest yet funniest stuff yet. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows 2016

The sequel to the 2014 reboot, Out of the Shadows is a slight improvement from the first one. While it still has a predictable plot and the turtles still look terrible, its definetly more fun. They added more characters from the source material and the Turtles even get some character growth. The best part about it was probably Bebop and Rocksteady because funny. Still though Krang is kinda one noted, and Shredder is completely forgotten. Even Casey Jones doesn't really do much the entire film. Overall, still mid but at least it's more fun.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One 2023

This review contains spoilers.

Part One to the Mission: Impossible finale, Dead Reckoning has got to be the second best one. The story about AI is great and it ended off at a perfect moment to end off. The villain has got to be one of the most dangerous yet and probably the best thing about it is all the variables. Ever since Puss in Boots 2 with the three different parties chasing for an object, I've been trying to recreate or get a better version of it and I finally did, especially in the Italy chase scene. Shazam! Fury of the Gods 2023

This review contains spoilers.

The sequel to the breath of fresh air to the superhero genre know as Shazam!, Shazam 2 kinda is a letdown. It's average, which isn't bad, but average superhero movies are kinda forgettable. It's very uneven with its handling of emotional moments in contrast to the first movie but it's still as funny, though. As for the story, it seems interesting at first but more or less delves back into your average superhero film. The film also kinda loses its protagonist Billy which I could see coming with all of the new superheroes but why did they have to go with Freddy. He was good as a side character but as a protagonist he's kinda annoying. Overall, this film would've been a 50 for average but how fun it is saved it to a 60.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze 1991

This review contains spoilers.

Man, where to start. This film is a big drop off from the first one. It embraces a more childish tone than a more gritty one from the first and any emotion in the film is usually played off as a joke. Also I'm just mad that they didn't have the balls to add Bebop and Rocksteady instead having Tokka and Rahzar. Also the Vanilla Ice scene. It's less focused and harder to get behind. Overall bad but still enjoyable.

The Wolverine overall was a solid movie. It had a different story so it didn't feel like your average superhero movie. It had good acting and good fight sequences, especially the bullet train fight. Why it's not a 70 is because the movie is pretty standalone. Ferris Bueller's Day Off 1986

Regarded as one of the classic comedy films, Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a pretty funny movie. All of the scenes with the principal were funny and Ferris's shenanigans throughout the day were too. However, as I was watching this movie I couldn't help but notice that, despite everyone in the movie and IRL telling me Ferris is awesome, he's kinda an a-hole. Also even though when his friend decides to stand up for himself finally was pretty powerful, it felt out of place in the movie. Like this is a comedy, not Stand by Me. Also I know this movie is old but it really got me at the poor editing part when he is lip-syncing to the Beatles. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull 2008

This review contains spoilers.

'The Road to El Dorado? Oh boy, I can't wait for it! SIKE ALIENS'

Indiana Jones 4 had a lot of potential riding for it and, well, just like most modern Steven Spielberg movies, wastes it. Even though I knew it was gonna be about aliens because literally everyone told me when I was a kid because apparently my parents saw this in theaters like the day before I was born. Anyways, as I was saying, even though I knew this I still thought 'Oh but it's just at the end, right?', I mean they just said El Dorado. To that I would say, 'Yes, but no'. This movie could have been so much better if it was about El Dorado and I hate it when Indy says at the end 'El Dorado wasn't gold; it was knowledge'. Like, that's so stupid; everyone knows El Dorado is the City of Gold. Besides that, there is no real shining point in this movie besides Indy, but even he gets a little shakey sometimes just randomly being nerdy for no reason. The whole 'Shia's character is Indy's son' is stupid and having the girl from the first movie was also stupid. It just made it more bad; not distracting us from an already bad movie. The villain was bad, and I hated how Indy helped the Russians more than fighting against them. Like I know for a fact he would never help a Nazi, but he is fine helping Commies even though he served in Vietnam? And don't get me started on how this was just one big CGI fest. For the most part this movie was just Indy stumbling around with a bunch of idiots and then aliens just appearing at the end. Only see this movie if you want to know what happened before Dial of Destiny.

Very informative on what's happening in the world right now. The only problem is that this came out too late to really do anything about it anymore because big tech is now intertwined with the US government. Now, for the movie itself: it's well-presented with the interview parts but the skit things in my opinion, especially with the AI one, is cringey. I get the point they are pushing across but some of them are extreme or unnecessary, such as when he got arrested while he was at a no-phone riot. I feel like that was directly a take on the Capitol riot but it never made a point and was stupid. Overall great documentary but kinda too late really.

Guns Akimbo 2019

This review contains spoilers.

This movie had potential and it absolutely squandered all of it. It has an interesting concept of 'what if you bolt someone's hands with guns and then try and see if they can live their life'. But everything else just SUCKED. The villain is literally a crackhead Joker, and Nix, the girl hunting Daniel Radcliffe's character, is AN ACTUAL CRACKHEAD. The characters are clichéd, the plot becomes clichéd, and everything turns into one whole cliché. Radcliffe was the only good character but even he wasn't the best, seemingly ditching all of his morals after eating a hot dog. This movie could have worked if it was serious or even a horror. But instead they try to make it a raunchy comedy. Like I don't even know what I was supposed to laugh at. Nothing except for the homeless man was funny. And maybe the movie could have been enjoyable if I believed the message that it was sending that humans are always trying to look for carnage. I know sin does terrible stuff to people but when it comes to this, it's just stupid, like definitely either a really rich person or a government could have taken this thing down. The point is, this movie sucked and I can't fully put my anger in here because I was really hoping it was gonna be good so if you want to know more talk to me IRL. It's almost like a kid made this movie and was like 'shoot shoot swear swear violence blood'.

Dunkirk 2017

This review contains spoilers.

With Christopher Nolan directing, this movie is based off of the events and last battle of Dunkirk where 330,000 soldiers were evacuated by civilians from Britain. Dunkirk did an awesome job showing lots of 100 material. The only problem with Dunkirk is, while they showed actual characters' perspectives instead of just a historical overview, they failed to emphasize how Dunkirk was a miracle from God and instead just implied that it was luck. Overall another great film from Christopher Nolan and an accurate representation of Dunkirk and soldiers in WW2.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery 2022

This review contains spoilers.

Just like how Daniel Craig in this movie said about the Glass Onion: 'Well, I keep returning in my mind to the Glass Onion. Something that seems densely layered, mysterious and inscrutable. But in fact, the centre is in plain sight. And that is why this case has confounded me like no other. Why every complex layer peeled back has revealed another layer, and another layer, and come to naught. And that was the problem right there. You see, I expected complexity. I expected intelligence. I expected a puzzle, a game. But that's not what any of this is. It hides not behind complexity, but behind mind-numbing, obvious clarity. Truth is, it doesn't hide at all. I was staring right at it'. It's literally just this movie in general.

Inception 2010

This review contains spoilers.

Ok because of this movie I am gonna go back and edit all my other scores. This movie had some of the finest storytelling thanks to Christopher Nolan. I'm not gonna spoil it but there truly is no other movie quite like Inception. Acting was awesome with most of Nolan's usuals showing up, and the quality of course was great. Superb movie overall. Pay attention very closely throughout the whole movie and always keep questions at the forefront but not enough where it takes control. Questions will be answered; you just have to be patient.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World 2019

This review contains spoilers.

The finale of the series. It was a satisfying conclusion to the How to Train Your Dragon trilogy. The emotional parts hit when Toothless and Hiccup seperate and reunite along with Toothless and his romance. Grimmel was also a very good villain and for most of the movie I was actually rooting for him to win because of how they always portray Hiccup and how he seemingly never learns from each adventure. Along with that was the fact that they end up abandoning their home even though they didn't need to. Also all of the side characters end up being a shell of what potential they used to be and turn into jokes or clichés. While I did just list those problems I had, the good ends up mostly outweighing the bad with Grimmel and the ending of the movie definitely showing through and making this movie good.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 2014

This review contains spoilers.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 expands more on the sequel with this time having a villain and a story with higher stakes. Unfortunately, when Hiccup meets his mother the story and the pacing kinda slow down to a lull. Luckily, that is over soon and quickly redeems itself with Stoick's sacrifice and overcoming the Alpha dragon and beating Drago. Overall solid W for Dreamworks.

This is one of the rare old Disney movies that actually has a good story, protagonist, and songs. Most old Disney movies have good songs but a pretty shallow story or an annoying protagonist. Bill & Ted Face the Music 2020

After a long time, Bill and Ted finally come back together for one last film. With plenty of old characters coming back, references, and a good story, this time it holds up. There were some moments, especially with Dennis and when Bill and Ted pass the torch to their daughters I didn't like, but it all was okay in the end with the epic conclusion of bringing the world together in song. Truly an excellent film.

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey 1991

This review contains spoilers.

Totally bogus dude. While it's fun seeing Bill and Ted do shenanigans against the Grim Reaper and also just their evil versions in general, it takes away all the fun time-traveling adventures and historical figures from the first movie, and has a totally lame villain and ending. Most heinous movie.

Edit: to be honest, this film is good; the reason why I was so harsh was because of the ending, which is why I originally gave it a 60. I'm changing it because it's good, it's just that the end can totally ruin the film and leave a bad taste in your mouth.

The Bourne Ultimatum 2007

This review contains spoilers.

Bourne Ultimatum effectively wraps up the Bourne trilogy. Everything is explained, and they have a great villain in this one to replace the mediocre one in Supremacy. For this movie, Identity, and Supremacy, you have to pay attention, be smart, and try to watch all these movies back to back or as soon as possible. Otherwise you may end up being very confused or forget events. With that in mind, you'll see that while Bourne may have just started as an alternate James Bond, Bourne ends up becoming an anti-hero in his own right.

A heartwarming story about childhood, My Neighbor Totoro is a very sweet story that easily combines with sadness too. The Passion of the Christ 2004

This review contains spoilers.

Now, this movie is kinda hard to rank because who is gonna have fun watching Jesus get crucified? Now besides all of that, I don't care what Shane thinks, I dont care what Sushi thinks for giving another 100, and I don't care what any critic thinks. This movie showed the most accurate way of how our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was crucified, buried, and resurrected. If Mel Gibson is an anti-semetist, then this is one of the examples of how God can use bad people for good. Sure, the movie may have tried to shock people into believing, and yes, there is some creative decision, but that can be all thrown aside because of how accurately they were able to show what happened. If this movie made you feel uncomfortable, good, because I can't see anyone watching this movie and not feeling sad, let alone call themselves a Christian and not feel anything. I could go on for hours and hours of how good this movie is and how wrong all the haters are. The point is: how Jesus got crucified is accurate and how horrible the Jews are in the movie is accurate.

Spider-Man: No Way Home 2021

This review contains spoilers.

This goes down as almost one of the best Spider-Man movies, and all movies in general. It manages to not only keep the regular protagonist going, but doesn't sacrifice anything when old Spider-Men are implemented and is one of the first Superhero movies to have multiple villains and not collapse under all of the ambition. All of Tobey Maguire and his villains and Andrew Garfield and his villains are put in perfectly. The fan service does not derive from the plot and it proves to be a closing also to Maguire and Garfield. While the ending may not be ideal to some people it was necessary for it to happen so Tom Holland's Spider-Man can finally become his own person. Overall, awesome movie even if the story could have been avoided more or less.

'Holy Hood Heat Review, Batman, Griffin only gave it a 65.' Yes, there is a reason why, but let me clear up one thing first. The book is way better even though it's shorter.
