Amazing from start to finish. The visuals are always outstanding and never boring. The conflicts the characters go through are very unique and interesting. The acting is believable, the action is exhilarating, the emotional moments are moving, the score is brilliant, I could go on. This movie is very risky yet confident with it's grand scope, but it lives up to that scope completely. There are a few moments that were odd (like the kissing scene between the fat guy and Austin Butler), and the loud orchestra hit that plays whenever something big happens can be a little repetitive. Those problems barely mean anything because of how good everything else in this movie is. This will stand with The Lord Of The Rings and the original Star Wars trilogy as being one of the greatest film franchises ever.

Compared to the first part, this movie has much more variety between scenes. It has a more complete story, allowing it to be better as a standalone work. You feel satisfied by the end instead of being left half-empty. The fight scenes are insane. You don't just get a fuzzy idea of who is winning or losing; you can feel every swipe and motion. I doubt anyone will argue with the fact that the worm riding scene is one of the best. It truly amazed me. Everyone needs to experience it at least once in their life. The score lifts the movie to another level and gives it a very distinct feel. Having watched both movies, I now feel like I'm a part of Arrakis myself. The way the story is told makes it feel like you are being transported right into it. Movies should be like this. As for minor negatives: some lines are delivered so dramatically that they wrap around to being awkward, Paul and Chani's relationship feels plastic, and the variety between scenes still has some room for improvement.

After watching the first Dune, I was very hyped for the 2nd. And after seeing it I can say it met my expectations. It brings the atmospherical vibe like the first movie, but definitely moved faster than the first. The cgi was great and I think the story hit all the right points to make it good. But even though I do have a high score for it, I do have some criticisms for it which does bring the score lower than Dune 1. Dune 2 has some very stereotypical parts to it like who would of guessed it, making a love triangle out of Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Florence Pugh along with mid dialogue. The transitions are also not very good and I sometimes wondered if I was still even watching the same movie at some points. I do think Dune though is sort of a modern Lord of the Rings trilogy. Overall Dune 2 is definitely a solid movie, but I still prefer the first one over part 2

Amazing sequel to dune, the scenes with fighting were epic. There were some story elements that dragged on a bit but this was a very strong movie
