Another great Pixar film that is deep for adults and fun for kids at the same time without compromising either aspects. As many have already said, the peak of the film is the first ten minutes. The amount of storytelling they were able to do with so little dialogue or effects is incredible. The rest of the movie after that isn't as perfect, but still holds up and presents a great story.

To me, this is just a fun, sweet old film and is one of Pixar's greatest movies.

A lot of people say that the first ten minutes are amazing, but the rest of the movie isn't good. Originally I jumped on this bandwagon, but honestly, after rewatching this, I can't say that anymore. I have watched this at least three times and I still cried two times. There is some kiddie stuff, but there are some truly breathtaking scenes in this. The scene where Carl sees the falls after waiting his whole life. The scene where the house first gets off the ground. The chase scene in the gorge. The scene in the rain. The scene where Carl goes through the 'stuff I am going to do' pages. I really do not understand why some people say that most of this movie is 'kiddie.' This is one of the smartest, most mature Pixar movies, and it will go down in history as one of the most iconic and beloved animated movies ever.
