Now, this movie is kinda hard to rank because who is gonna have fun watching Jesus get crucified? Now besides all of that, I don't care what Shane thinks, I dont care what Sushi thinks for giving another 100, and I don't care what any critic thinks. This movie showed the most accurate way of how our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was crucified, buried, and resurrected. If Mel Gibson is an anti-semetist, then this is one of the examples of how God can use bad people for good. Sure, the movie may have tried to shock people into believing, and yes, there is some creative decision, but that can be all thrown aside because of how accurately they were able to show what happened. If this movie made you feel uncomfortable, good, because I can't see anyone watching this movie and not feeling sad, let alone call themselves a Christian and not feel anything. I could go on for hours and hours of how good this movie is and how wrong all the haters are. The point is: how Jesus got crucified is accurate and how horrible the Jews are in the movie is accurate.

Disrespectful to Jesus. There is a weird focus on the violence. People say that the violence is meant to show how bad Jesus' crucifixion was. They say it is meant to make you want to follow Jesus after being shocked by what he went through to save us. However, the movie seems to get a kick out of the violence that Jesus experienced. The violence is stylised and it seems to want to make his crucifixion seem as painful as possible. A similar movie, Saw, also seems to get a kick out of its violence. The movie Saw is a torture-fest that has stylised violence and seems to want to make the violence seem as painful as possible. This kind of filmmaking is okay for a horror movie, but when adapting the story of Jesus you can't do this. You shouldn't allow people who get a kick out of violence to adapt the story of Jesus. It is disrespectful. Only a psychopath would get a kick out of watching Jesus get tortured. This movie does not honor Jesus; it uses his story as an excuse to have stylised violence. There is also a lot of crap that they added into the movie that serve no purpose. The anti-semitism is unbearable and laughable. I like the score, makeup, costumes, and some of the actors and actresses. Point is, this movie is just Saw but with Jesus as the victim. Go watch Ben-Hur or The Chosen; those actually honor Jesus.
