My Neighbor Totoro

A movie that has zero plot because it would get in the way of the good vibes. It’s pure joy but none of it feels fake or corporate. The animation and music are both great. Not Ghibli’s best but definitely a worthwhile watch.

One of those movies where you learn to accept halfway through that you're not getting an explanation for anything whatsoever.

And that's okay.

A heartwarming story about childhood, My Neighbor Totoro is a very sweet story that easily combines with sadness too. The only thing that is wrong with this movie is just a slow beginning, but other than that, it's fine. The animation and music is awesome, and Totoro steals every scene he is in. The ideal children's film.
