The first James Bond movie ever, Dr. No holds up well despite it being a movie all the way in the 60s. A slow burner, it uses its age rating to its advantage by keeping the movie dialogue focused so when action is used it’s exciting. Sean Connery sets the tone and standard of how a James Bond should be and he does a really good job. The story holds up well too even if Dr. No’s plan is a little out dated, focusing more on the principle of his motives. However despite the praise I just gave it, the biggest flaw of the movie has to be the fan service in this movie. Now I know being a playboy is apart of James Bond’s character but man, this guys more horny than Tony Stark! I mean he literally cracked every single major female character. And Honey is just such and unnecessary character as a whole. She’s literally just there for guys to jack off too. I know that this might be a recurring criticism of this franchise especially during the older time periods but I’m still gonna give criticism where I feel it’s due. Still though a good movie overall
