I think this was a good Spider-Man movie I enjoyed watching it I felt that the plot was recycled and that the punishers background and connection to spider man could have been explored a bit more but it’s a lot better then anything else that marvel has made recently and overall it wasn’t a bad movie it just needed some changes

Overall a good movie in the start of the brand new Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy. Only critiques of the movie is that its more or less a formulaic marvel movie, and the lesson they learn at the end is friendship. Also I didn't necessarily like the lack of Spider-Man mythos/characters with most of it being substituted for showing other Marvel characters and introducing new ones and concepts. Still though they did good with what they had such as Jean Grey being a great villain.

Spider-Man flick that doesn’t do too much to reinvent the wheel. The direction was standard, as typical for most MCU movies. There were a lot of ideas that felt underdeveloped, I wish the spider DNA was explored more. There were a lot of characters that felt like they were picked out of a hat like Punisher, Hulk, and Jean Grey. Not bad but the only Spider-Man I care about is Beyond The Spiderverse.

Probably the best of the Tom Holland series. I like how they actually developed the villain and gave her motivation. The writing is as corny as usual. They also continue the annoying Marvel trope of throwing in random outside characters.
