The Road to El Dorado

The two main characters have a fun dynamic, but other than that there isn't much to say. The "musical" bits are extremely forgettable.

Cookie cutter story with nice animation and occasional charm. A lot of the dirty jokes feel gimmicky, unlike Shrek where they’re very natural.

Dreamworks attempt to bank off of The Prince of Egypt, The Road to El Dorado is ok. The characters are standout because of their personality and the setting is good and the quips are funny. But sadly any attempt at characterization kinda feels shoed in. Also I know it's a kids movie but there's no way some random dude had the map to El Dorado and gave it away. On top of that, what was with the sex scene implication? I think I found from the start where Dreamworks gets their fetishes. Overall Fun movie but it just lands in the "Just Good" zone
