The third movie in the Fast Franchise, Tokyo Drift is where I can tell studio interference set in. Its clear Universal wanted to recreate the popularity of the first 2 but without Paul Walker as Brian O'Connor or any of the Toretto's instead putting a whole new cast on. While I criticized 2 Fast 2 Furious for not being a good standalone, Tokyo Drift is pretty ok for a standalone. It has a likeable supporting cast and a ok story with ok race sequences. Now that normally would bring it around a 55 maybe a 60. What brings it down though really is lack of Paul Walker and its continuity in the Fast saga. Having no previous characters or tour main character from the first 2 movies and your trying to sell this as a sequel? Overall ok but having a fresh new cast and protagonist as a 3rd movie is not good. I know this shows up later but not good for a third movie.

This is said to be one of the best fast and furious movies ever I do not agree with that, but it is a really good movie. I'm not really into the whole Japanese drifting and tuner car stuff but putting an American in that world. He did a great job at it and also it introduced Han and his death, which was later explained in fast and furious nine.
