Really just an amazing movie for any artist to watch, whether aspiring, successful, or failed. It says so much about the way people interpret and critique art, as well as having some commentary about how we have settled for mediocrity in the modern world. Instead of experimenting and trying something new, we often settle for mediocrity, as the rats eat trash, or as they try to sell Gusteu microwave food. Seeing Remy challenged in a world where nobody cares about his passion is pretty much relatable to anyone, including myself. It is very satisfying to see him become the great chef he's dreamed of being. I love how Linguini never learns to cook like Remy, rather he just sticks to what he is talented at and succeeds at it. This movie is very risky for being an animated movie that is adult oriented, but I'm glad they made the risk, because this movie is simply just therapeutic for any struggling artist. It's odd how Remy doesn't talk for half of the movie, but honestly that's the biggest problem. Watch this movie if you haven't already, it is truly amazing.

One of Pixar's films, I will give Ratatouille credit for being creative. Other than that this movie just makes me hungry and is definitely not for me.

You know it's good when you get hungry watching it. The story is very good and has one of the most profound movie speeches at the end

This, like a lot of other old Pixar movies, is an absolute masterpiece of filmmaking. The plot isn't super complex, making it easy to understand. The concept of a rat controlling a human by tugging on their hair is such a unique idea that I am confused how someone even came up with it. I've watched this movie a few times, and each time I laugh at something new or appreciate another artistic decision I didn't catch before. I can't state enough how clean and interesting the plot and pacing is. Many movies I've watched recently have had either a really good opening with a disappointing main act, or a lame main act but a satisfying ending that makes you forget about the mistakes. Ratatouille was a breath of fresh air because it doesn't ever stop being good. Every scene feels earned. Also, each character in this movie is written amazingly. Linguini is goofy and hilarious to start out, but then turns into a sort of an unexpected antagonist against Remy. Chef Skinner is such an animated character (pun intended) and is fun to watch get mad at random things. Ego is literally me fr. It is cool to see what Remy is feeling through his imaginary friend, Gusteau. I don't know if I've ever seen that done before. I could talk more about this movie and what is good about it, but I will leave you to watch it for yourself so you can find everything else on your own. Literally a fine wine.
