I wish I could say this movie hit as hard as it was intended to, but the reality is that it didn't take advantage of what it could be. The characters and the place where they are at in their arcs are the most interesting they've been. The effects are great, and the acting is very good. However, the story just feels super unrealistic and doesn't feel satisfying in the end. I've seen the bad ending approach done better before. I don't dislike the movie, but I think it's just too predictable and comes short at times.

This goes down as almost one of the best Spider-Man movies, and all movies in general. It manages to not only keep the regular protagonist going, but doesn't sacrifice anything when old Spider-Men are implemented and is one of the first Superhero movies to have multiple villains and not collapse under all of the ambition. All of Tobey Maguire and his villains and Andrew Garfield and his villains are put in perfectly. The fan service does not derive from the plot and it proves to be a closing also to Maguire and Garfield. While the ending may not be ideal to some people it was necessary for it to happen so Tom Holland's Spider-Man can finally become his own person. Overall, awesome movie even if the story could have been avoided more or less.
