Shazam! Fury of the Gods

The sequel to the breath of fresh air to the superhero genre know as Shazam!, Shazam 2 kinda is a letdown. It's average, which isn't bad, but average superhero movies are kinda forgettable. It's very uneven with its handling of emotional moments in contrast to the first movie but it's still as funny, though. As for the story, it seems interesting at first but more or less delves back into your average superhero film. The film also kinda loses its protagonist Billy which I could see coming with all of the new superheroes but why did they have to go with Freddy. He was good as a side character but as a protagonist he's kinda annoying. Overall, this film would've been a 50 for average but how fun it is saved it to a 60.
