Grave of the Fireflies

This is a trip. This is probably one of the saddest films of all time. This ranks in one of the rare movies I've cried while watching. Comparing it to Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away (even though they are total opposites), Spirited Away makes you feel happiness and joy. Grave of the Fireflies makes you achingly sad. Not giving this a 100 would be a crime on my part. If you ever wish to call yourself a movie lover or even just a critic, then you have to see this movie. But I would like to give a little warning though. It is animated so dont mistake it for a kids film. And dont actually try to critique that much because it will undermine the emotional moments and potentially most of the movie. Just watch it. Most movies for me I go in watching it and then start to think about a score during it. Others I go specifically to critique. This movie was different, just like Spirited Away. I just watched it and didn't think of anything else. So thats all I ask when you watch this absolute masterpiece.
