This is one of the most striking movies I have ever seen. The ambition of the animation makes it unbelievable that this came out in 1940. Segments like The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Night On Bald Mountain are beautiful and entertaining. I've heard many people say that the segments during the middle (the dinosaurs and the Greek gods) are boring, but I found every segment to be interesting and captivating. The live-action parts are well-lighted and have some great colors, and the narrator during these segments is very likable. This movie is a love letter to music and the inspiration it has on the world, and this is communicated very well without outright saying it. The only problem with this movie is that sometimes the narrator over explains a segment, but that doesn't affect my enjoyment of this movie. This movie is a timeless classic that deserves all of the praise it has received over the years. 10/10.

Coming from the "classic" age of Disney Fantasia truly caught me off guard by how creative this movie is. While I did have some i fo going in on what it'll be like, a movie that is completely just music and animation is incredible. Speaking of which the music is also awsome and the animation is stunning. Nowadays with everything being so action oriented, this movie was a big nice change of pace. While it may seem a little long if your not connected with it, this movie is totally worth it if your big on old movies and classical music. And when it comes to which was the best short, of course The Sorcerer's Apprentice was the best one
