An absolutely perfect movie that gets better every time I watch it. Everything makes complete logical sense, there are zero plot conveniences, every scene either furthers the plot or develops the characters, it never manipulates the viewer using a phony soundtrack or overly stylized filmmaking, every decision each character makes is natural and logical, the sound design perfectly recreates the sounds of the environment, the set design is immersive and convincing, the acting is convincing, the dialogue is completely natural yet witty, and the plot is told in a matter of fact way that never feels exaggerated or over-the-top. I adore the editing, the murder scene is a strong contender for the best instance of editing in a movie. Yet the editing never feels manipulative or excessive, it’s very subtle. In general this movie is the textbook example of how to do more with less. It’s about as perfect as a movie can get, it’s hard to find any objective issues with it outside of some continuity problems.

The best part of this movie is the setting. Like in 12 Angry Men, the director chose to limit the entire movie to one enclosed area, making for some very cool shots. Getting to see into the lives of Jeff's neighbors through the window is a good idea on paper but was underdeveloped in execution. The main plot is slow and predictable. It's supposed to be suspenseful but it only gets tense at the very end, then it's suddenly over. I left this movie with a feeling of "that's it?" It just seems unfinished at worst and gimmicky at best.
