Cars 3

I think the direction they went for in this third film in the franchise suits it well. I don't mind some of the new characters (though some of the old ones definitely take a beating). The animation isn't all that unique however, one or two of the characters are painfully written, and don't come for the jokes. However, I currently appreciate Mcqueen's arc in the film, and there are are a few sequences in which Cruz is an actually fun character. Overall, nice direction, some good character momments, but a lot that could have been handled a lot better.

An insipid piece of trash that makes me appreciate the first movie just a bit more. The horrendous writing completely nullifies the above-average animation and the lack of plot events is astounding.
