In my score review for Jesus Revolution I’m going to be honest, it’s far from a perfect movie, but I will say that this movie hits different where it counts to make this still a very enjoyable and motivating film. The characters in this movie (being real people) are well portrayed and fleshed out. That being said, Jesus, while being in the title and being a lot of the focus of the movie, isn’t much of a main character here as he is in other similar films. The struggles of the main characters are very engaging however, centering on relevant and interesting dilemmas and daily struggles in the Christian faith. The main character’s journey throughout the movie is also captivating and as I said, engaging. This helps the movie become more immersive and satisfying by the conclusion (it tying everything together very well in the end). It’s always nice when a Christian movie like this fires you up with encouragement. This movie is two hours long and honestly could’ve been longer.

A solid movie about a cool event in Christian history. I liked the theme of inviting all to be saved, and this did a pretty good job of conveying it. My main complaint is that the section with Greg and Cathe breaking up and reuniting again is stretched too far out and feels like a diversion from the point of the movie. However, the first two-thirds had some excellent acting and storytelling; a breath of fresh air for Christian movies.
