Lincoln

A boring educational movie that has nothing to say about Abraham Lincoln other than the basic facts that everyone knows. It’s the most basic way of telling his story you can imagine. A lot of the technical aspects are serviceable but the movie looks terrible and some of the makeup effects are horrendous. The only parts of this movie that interested me were the scenes where Daniel Day Lewis and Tommy Lee Jones got to monologue. It’s nothing but pretentious Oscar bait, it shocks me that Spielberg directed this.
