Licorice Pizza

A fever dream of a movie directed by none other than the great Paul Thomas Anderson. The plot is all over the place and there is no consistent narrative other than 'boy tries to start business and girl tries to become famous.' I was not interested in the main characters very much, rather I was interested in the shenanigans that took place. Some of the stuff that happens in this movie is insane, yet entertaining. The direction, lighting, writing, and cinematography were probably the best parts of the movie. There are so many shots in this that scream iconic and are inside my head. The writing is quick and does not spoon-feed you what is going on, and that makes the movie even more feverish and entertaining. Overall a solid movie, but I wish the characters and story were more strong.
