Every song is filled with catchy melodies, passionate vocals, amazing harmonies, and raw instrumentation. This album manages to be both insanely fun and deeply emotional, telling a cohesive story about self hatred. It’s a shame that the reactions people had to this album discouraged Weezer from making messy garage band music, instead opting for a commercially friendly sound for their subsequent albums. If only the same Weezer that made The Blue Album and Pinkerton continued on.
